Hemlock Fest

Hemlocks are beautiful trees-like beautiful giant pines. There is a huge forest we ride through often. They are at risk of being destroyed by insects, just like the pines in Tsali [see earlier]. There is a chance to save a majority of the hemlocks, that's why this weekend will be Hemlock Fest. The coalition is trying to raise money for a laboratory at UGA to fund the project that will raise the predator insect of the culprit.

The Festival is being hosted at Three Sisters Vineyards,September 30th and October 1st, and it is a lovely place. Visit the website for all the info. It's worth it. And the Beetle Battle Paddle sounds like lots of fun too!
