Presenting the 2008 Olympic Mascots

The Official Mascots for the 2008 Beijing Olympics have been announced. The group of 5 mascots-(just like the 5 Olympic Rings)- are called the "Friendlies" They are inspired from China's most popular animals, including of course, the Panda. Here it is in all it's cuteness. **Presenting Jingjing.**

Choosing the mascots is such a big deal. When the Olympics were in Atlanta there was a contest to name the mascot, and a girl at my school won with "Izzy". I think the "Friendlies" are more culturally representative and will add more character to the various Olympic Events.
